MS, LPC, Owner
I founded Malaty Therapy to help teens, young adults, and families navigate life’s challenges and behavioral struggles. Over the years, our practice has grown into a leading therapy provider in Houston, with 13 equally dedicated therapists. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston in 2007 and my Master’s Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2013. For over 13 years, I have worked with adolescents and young adults, helping them find stability, purpose, and growth during life’s most challenging transitions. I also had the privilege of serving as Director, Counselor, and Recovery Coach at Archway Academy, the largest sober high school in the United States.
When I was 17, my life changed forever as I faced the difficult decision to transform how I was living. At the time, I feared that the changes I needed to make would leave me without a real life at all. That fear kept me stuck longer than necessary. It was with the support of my family, friends, and a counselor who truly understood my pain as a teen that I found the courage to rebuild my life. The process wasn’t easy, and the road was far from smooth, but it shaped me into the person I am today—and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.
Having walked that path myself, I developed a passion for helping adolescents and adults who struggle to help themselves. I know firsthand what it feels like to be stuck, and more importantly, I know what it feels like to break free. That’s the experience I want to help others achieve.
I am a husband and a father of three wonderful kids, and spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys. Whether we’re enjoying simple moments at home or making memories together, my family reminds me daily of the importance of connection, understanding, and love—the same principles I bring into my work with clients.
