I graduated from the University of Houston with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. During the past six years, I have worked extensively with minority individuals who are experiencing anxiety/depression, interpersonal difficulties, cultural disharmony, and substance abuse.

As a Persian-American woman myself, I empathize with feeling overwhelmed about how to process your individual thoughts and feelings while being mindful about how others may perceive them (e.g. friends, family, society). I also understand that it is difficult to understand how to cope with life’s obstacles. My goal is to help you stop avoiding and denying your private experiences (e.g. you inner thoughts and feelings) and instead accept that they are a normal part of life and should not prevent you from living a meaningful life.

Together, we identify what has worked for you in the past and what can be improved to allow you to live a life aligned with your values.

My go-to stress relievers and hobbies are: exercising, spending time with my family and puppy, trying new healthy recipes, and attending pop-up Houston events such as markets, shows, and game nights with friends.
