Depression, anxiety, substance use, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, family difficulties, and life transitions
One of my core beliefs is that everyone has the right to feel heard, respected, and validated. Therefore, I offer a comforting, safe, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I understand that each client’s experiences and needs are unique, and I work to create an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific concerns. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my job is to help you navigate your journey towards achieving your goals and living a fulfilling life.
I am highly skilled in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which is an evidence-based approach that helps clients develop coping strategies to deal with challenging emotions and situations. My clinical areas of expertise include working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use, suicidal ideation, self-harm behaviors, family difficulties, and life transitions.
My particular area of focus lies in working with adolescents, adults, and families who are looking to create functional and meaningful lives for themselves. I understand that navigating life’s challenges can be daunting, but with the right guidance and support, it is possible to overcome even the most difficult obstacles.
After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I continued to pursue my passion for helping others by earning a Master’s degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from Midwestern State University. Throughout my academic journey, I have been exposed to various approaches to therapy, and my years of practical experience have equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively with people from all walks of life.
