Mimi Schultz, LPC – Therapist in Houston

Depression, Anxiety, Compulsive Disorders
Works with: Ages 14+ (Men & Women)

I’m Mimi, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Before becoming an LPC, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Christian University. After working for a couple of years, I decided to go back to school at the University of St. Thomas, where I received a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling.

I specialize in compulsive disorders, anxiety, and depression, working with clients of all ages. I am formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where I use approaches focusing on how thoughts, behaviors, and feelings impact one another. Everyone experiences change and difficult times throughout life; therefore, I want to be here to help you through your difficult times, allowing you to recognize how your current thinking patterns and behaviors are influencing your behaviors. I will provide a safe and supportive environment during our time together, where no conversation is off-limits. Through your motivation and my desire to help you, I believe we can work together to help create a positive change in your life! I am looking forward to working with you and helping you.

In my personal time, you can almost always find me near a body of water, hoping for an opportunity to water ski. I love spending time with my family. Soon I will be a new parent, and I’m enjoying preparing for my venture into motherhood.
