Mariela Castro, LPC, NCC– Therapist in Houston
Domestic Violence, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Grief
Works with: Women and Young Adults
Everyone should have accessible mental health services in order to maintain their mental well-being. As a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor, my work primarily consists of working with those who have experienced sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, grief, depression/anxiety, and other life transitions. My work centers specifically with women and young adults.
I have worked at a crisis center for domestic violence and sexual abuse, at a Children’s Advocacy Center providing services to the non-offending caregivers of children that have endured sexual abuse, and providing trauma informed therapy to adults that have experienced trauma. As your therapist, it is my duty to work with you and use my platform to advocate for you.
By utilizing a person centered and integrative approach means that you (i,e., the client) are the expert and as such my role is to serve as your guide by helping you obtain your goals using unique and specific approaches designed for you. Rest assured that a safe, non-judgemental, environment is created in order to allow you to be your genuine and authentic self.
