Martha Medrano, LCSW– Therapist in Houston

Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Complex Trauma
Works with: Adolescents and Adults

My name is Martha Medrano, LCSW and I am a Bilingual Spanish Speaking Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Houston, where I also completed a Master’s degree in Social Work. I have over 7 years of experience in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced anxiety, depression, grief, or complex trauma in medical and non-profit settings.
As a therapist my goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for individuals who have made the decision to take this step in their journey. I believe in a client-centered and strengths-based approach. I am passionate about collaborating with clients and providing them with an empathetic environment that helps them become empowered and be their most authentic self.
My personal experience of being a client helps me understand the discomfort or feelings of uneasiness that may come with starting therapy. My role is to support and help you uncover that you are the expert of your journey while also helping to overcome the challenges you are facing. I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool that can improve the way you deal with life’s adversities.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling with my husband, eating great food, and spending time with my 3 dogs.
