Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Eating Disorders, Healthy Boundaries, Life Transitions.
I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and from University of Houston: Graduate School of Social Work in 2017 with a specialization in mental and behavioral health. I have spent the last three plus years working with adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric hospital unit. So, I’ve seen and heard it all – you can’t shock me!
I’ve been in your seat and know how scary it can feel to talk about your struggles, fears and uncomfortable emotions. Being vulnerable can feel the opposite of what it is – courage. Therapy helped turn my life around, which is how I know it could for you. I don’t just believe in therapy, but I live it. I found the tools and tricks that continue to help me on a daily basis. Let’s find yours. I believe in the power of self-awareness in that it is one of the very best things we can do for ourselves. We all have personal weaknesses, struggles, and strengths, but only when we acknowledge them, can we empower ourselves. Being perfect is not possible, but it can be difficult to let that go.
As your therapist, I am not here to tell you what to do or who to be, but I am here to help you discover yourself – what it is that you need to feel whole again. We are a team. As a child and teen, I hated the emptiness I felt, the way I talked down on myself, and the unhealthy habits I formed. There is a way out and I hope to help you find it.
