Life is not a simple thing, it is full of mystery, joy, pain, sadness, obstacles, and successes and people are no different. It is my philosophy that people are unique and walk on different paths therefore therapy should be the same. My goal as a therapist is to meet you along your path and do my best to help you connect with the things that matter to you. I believe in a holistic approach, in other words, I will try to view the problems you face and your world through your eyes. It is important to me to understand what you value in your life and to work with you to achieve whatever goals you have for therapy. Sometimes when the world forces us to fit a mold it causes discomfort and anxiety and I want to be there to help you become best self even if it means breaking the mold. I know how difficult it is to face a world where you feel out of place and different, never comfortable in your own skin and I want to help create a space where you feel loved and love yourself.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2017 and shortly after my master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am drawn to working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, quarter-life crisis, and trauma. I am particularly passionate about working within the LGTBQIA+ community in a way that is judgment free and inclusive. I want therapy to be a place where you can feel like your authentic self and while I cannot promise the journey to your best self won’t be difficult, I can say that it is one of the most important and exciting journeys you can take in your life.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan and when I am outside of the office, I can be seen representing the Hufflepuff lifestyle! I love board games, nerdy movies, and hanging out with my friends singing a killer tune at karaoke.
