Cecilia Puczek LMFT-Associate – Therapist in Houston

Do you feel discouraged, hurt, and isolated in your current relationships? Do you yearn for those good ol’ days when your life made sense? There is hope. Born and raised in Argentina during the country’s worst recession, and having buried my father when I was just a child, I learned early on the meaning of hope. My mother’s voice echoes in my mind, “as long as there is life, there is hope… you must never give up”.
I am a marriage, couples, and family therapist, and I am trained to help couples and families break out of the poor communication cycles and learn new and better ways to relate. I provide a safe environment where each person or family member can voice their concerns and feel understood. I am also certified in SYMBIS (Saving your marriage before it starts).
I recognize that individuals are not an island; they are an intricate part of a family, a community, a culture, and a nation, and they are affected by each of these. As your therapist, we will work together as we learn from your past experiences, gain insight, and set short-term and long-term goals to positively affect your current and future relationships. I believe that given the right conditions any individual can rise above their past experiences and look at their future with hope.
As a multicultural person, I bring the best of both worlds, the warmth of the Latino culture and the amazing training this country has to offer. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Regent University (Virginia Beach). My passions include reading interesting books, watching romantic movies, spending time in nature, and visiting beautiful and historical sites across the country with my husband and four children. I also speak Spanish fluently.
