Seeking help can be intimidating, but my motto is, “healing won’t happen overnight, but you can be assured knowing the journey will be a collaborative effort.” Together we will explore all of the “stuff” that is keeping you from being your best self.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston in 2016 and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2021. I enjoy helping teen girls and women identify the source of their depression and anxiety and teaching them skills to elevate their self-esteem.

As a teen, I remember constantly feeling that something in my inner world was “off.”  It wasn’t until I became a young adult and entered into therapy that I was able to make sense of my mental health struggles. I learned how to take control of my life. Participating in my own personal therapy has allowed me to put myself in the client’s shoes. And by doing so, I continue to learn new ways to perfect my craft.

My counseling style is best described as warm and genuine with a dash of confrontation.

It is important to me that the work we do together empowers you to ultimately be able to thrive on your own. I hope that after our time together, you will have learned how to self-evaluate and tap into your abilities to cope with difficult thought processes and situations with awareness, acceptance (i.e., non-judgment), and compassion. In a session, I utilize a variety of therapy modalities in my work with clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). When appropriate, other techniques may include role-playing, specific skill-building, and mindfulness/meditation. Ultimately, I desire to tailor a treatment plan to meet your individual needs and desire for change.

My passions lie in God, family, health and fitness, nature, learning, dancing, and educating youth. When I am not in session, I am in the classroom teaching reading, watching cartoons with my husband, or working out.
